The Ruwenzori Marathon Activation Run, organized by the Uganda Consulate in Mombasa brought hundreds of people together on a morning that had every reason to stay quiet but chose to be anything but that!!

This was more than a run. It was a bridge between two nations built on shared strides; a celebration of what sport tourism between Kenya and Uganda can look like when the right people decide to make it happen.

The rain came. Spirits didn’t waver. Because when a community is committed to living well, the conditions don’t get a vote. They ran through it, danced past it, and came out the other side with Zumba, entertainment, and a breakfast that tasted like everything they’d just earned.

This is what healthy living looks like when it stops being individual and starts being collective. And we were honoured to be part of it as proud partners.

Today, Travellers Beach Hotel & Spa was proud to serve as the home base for the Ruwenzori Marathon Activation Run, hosted in partnership with the Consulate of Uganda in Mombasa. Rain or shine, hundreds showed up — and we were ready for every one of them.
