This time of the year is particularly an exciting time for birdwatching, with migratory birds arriving from Europe, Asia and northern Africa.

And you don't always have to venture far to experience it. PUMBAA's gardens are home to a variety of resident and visiting birdlife, from hummingbirds and turacos to hornbills and chirikus.

A lot is happening behind the scenes to keep PUMBAA in natural balance.

The sun powers our cottages and heats your shower. Waste water is recycled through the biobox back to the gardens. Our bees pollinate and provide wonderful lavender flavoured honey, while the farm finds use for what would otherwise go to waste.

Small eco systems, working together to make a lighter footprint on the place we call home.
