WHY COECSA EXAMS?
A. Promoting Regional Standardization in Ophthalmology
The COECSA examinations serve as a vital regional tool for standardizing ophthalmology training and assessment, ensuring that ophthalmologists across member countries meet consistent professional and academic standards.
B. A Pathway to Qualification
When complemented by training at a COECSA-accredited institution, the examinations provide a comprehensive and recognized pathway towards qualification as an Ophthalmologist.
C. A Prerequisite for COECSA Fellowship
Successful completion of the COECSA examinations is a mandatory requirement for ophthalmologists aspiring to attain Fellowship status within the College.
D. Assessing and Benchmarking Ophthalmic Knowledge
The examinations provide residents, fellows, and practicing ophthalmologists with an opportunity to assess, benchmark, and strengthen their ophthalmic knowledge against regional standards.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all Examination Centres, Coordinators, Invigilators, and Administrative Support Teams whose dedication and hard work continue to ensure the successful delivery of these examinations.
We also wish to acknowledge and thank all our partners, particularly MeritTrac Services, for their unwavering real-time technical support. Special appreciation goes to the entire COECSA Examinations Governance Team for their commitment to maintaining the integrity and quality of the examination process.
Finally, we wish all candidates the very best as they sit today's examination. May your hard work, dedication, and perseverance be rewarded with success.
