🚨 Important Update for Kenya Travelers!

Effective October 5, 2026, the Kenyan government requires all foreign visitors to purchase mandatory local travel insurance directly through the official eTA system. 

⚠️ Please note: Even if you already have international travel insurance, purchasing this specific local policy is now a mandatory prerequisite to complete your eTA application. 

💰 Costs:
Adults: $44.00 USD (+ $1.00 processing fee) 
Minors: $22.00 USD (+ $1.00 processing fee) 
Group applications remain possible, but the insurance fee applies individually.

We are thrilled to share some incredible news! 🏆

We are beyond proud to announce that Olkinyei Mara Tented Camp has been named a winner of the Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2026 in the category of Best Luxury Tented Safari Camp in Talek, Kenya.

Looking at where we are today, it’s hard to believe that this journey began in April 2022 with almost nothing. Starting from scratch, we poured our hearts, souls, and relentless dedication into transforming this camp. Watching it grow, evolve, and flourish into the destination it is today has been the adventure of a lifetime. As we step into our 4th season, this recognition feels like the perfect milestone.

This achievement belongs to all of you.
A massive THANK YOU to our amazing team, whose hard work and passion bring the spirit of Olkinyei Mara to life every single day. To our incredible guests who have traveled from around the world to stay with us - thank you for trusting us with your experiences and for being part of our story. And to our friends, family, and every single supporter who believed in us when we were just getting started: we wouldn’t be here without your constant encouragement and love.
