Banded mongooses almost always travel in large family groups (10–40 individuals) within our Camp. This helps them:
• Protect each other from predators
• Search for food together (insects, termites, small reptiles)
• Raise their young collectively.

Interesting behavior

When they cross open ground like a road or trail:
• A few individuals act as lookouts.
• The rest move quickly across in a line, just like in this Video that was taken today Afternoon
