A small reminder of why protecting our oceans matters. 🌊🐢

During one of our regular beach and shoreline debris inspections at The Royal Sands Koh Rong, our team discovered a sea turtle trapped in discarded fishing nets that had washed ashore.

Thankfully, the turtle was carefully freed and safely released back into the ocean — exactly where it belongs.

Moments like these reinforce the importance of ongoing environmental action and preserving the natural beauty of Koh Rong for future generations. From daily beach clean-ups to removing harmful debris and abandoned fishing nets from our shoreline, sustainability remains an important part of our commitment to the island we call home.
