Q&A about Koh Rong Sanloem beaches.
Once a while there are tourists asking about how to get to Saracen beach / Sunset beach / Lazy beach, can we walk there from M’pai Bay?
Sorry you can’t at the moment but maybe in the future yes, but now the only way is taking a boat. There are many taxi boats commuting between M’pai Bay to Saracen and the other island Koh Rong in high season, in low season you may need to rent a private boat or take the supply boat.
You can hike from Saracen to Sunset / Lazy beach for about 1 hour. You also can take taxi boat from
M’pai Bay to Sunset / Lazy beach but price is higher than go to Saracen.
You can come back from those beach at the same day too.
You can also hop on a half day boat trip to those beaches and stop for some snorkeling spots too.

Gonna reopen Macondo kitchen today, and we got Donna from Wine at Mine to be our guest bartender mmmm. Woke up in the morning a song in my head kept looping “ I take my whiskey neat, my coffee black and my bed at 3, you are too sweet for meeeeee”, good starting huh

Hey for the coming tourists, if you are going to book any hotels on M’pai bay(bai) don’t buy the boat tickets from the company called
Speed Ferry, it won’t drop you here. It only takes you to Koh Rong Sanloem but is another beach on koh rong sanloem island, that beach is called Sarecen beach by locals, and you have to take another taxi boat or supply boat to arrive at M’ai bay. The Speed Ferry tickets always come with bus or train tickets sold by agencies in Kampot and Siem Reap, just ask them for the boat company name and we highly recommend GTVC boat which have 4 times a day, easy to plan your trip.
