✨ Boun Ock Phansa — End of Buddhist Lent / Light Boat Festival ✨

On October 7, under the full moon, temples across Luang Prabang will glow with thousands of candles and lanterns for Boun Ock Phansa, marking the end of the sacred three-month Buddhist Lent.
On October 8, in addition to admiring the illuminated temples, you’ll witness the boat parade — Lai Heua Fai —and the sight of glowing offerings floating down the Mekong, a symbol of letting go and welcoming new light.
