The beautiful Sera Ella falls, a source of rich poetry in the past, is located in the Dumbara Jungle in Matale, Sri Lanka.

It stands at the height of 10 meters. The name comes from the water-dwelling fish species "Sera". Some say it is named after the beauty of this waterfall, which resembles the leaves of a hanging sera (lemongrass). 🌿

🌧️In the rainy season, the waterfalls are at their best and the sparkling water flowing from the edges is dazzling. The best time to visit the waterfall is from November to March, during which the waterfall is full.🍁

🧞‍♀️There is a hidden treasure behind the waterfall curtain. The secret of Sera Ella is that there is a wonderful cave behind the waterfall. The water continues to spout so fast that you can reach it even when the waterfall is in perfect shape.

Travelling could be a little harder, but when the waterfall comes closer, I'm sure you won’t feel tired and cold. You will feel just nothing but freshness.
In addition to this journey, the atmosphere of the waterfall is very surreal and visiting here will surely be a quiet and solemn and relaxing experience!💫

This is the Nine Arches Bridge, which was built during the British Colonial Era. Earlier known as the 'Nine Skies Bridge', if you stand below the bridge and look up you can see the sky through the nine arches of the bridge like there are nine skies. This has only , bricks and cement without any metal. A great spot for too- if you want to avoid crowds, be there at or ! Only 3 hours drive from Silverlane Beachhouse.

Yala was designated as a Wildlife Sanctuary in 1900 and, along with Wilpattu, was one of the first two national parks in Sri Lanka, designated in 1938.
Inhabited by all flora and fauna, Yala is a unique experience and one of the must-sees in Sri Lanka. The park is worth visiting at any time of the year.

The rope swing at Dikwella Beach, 40' from our estate Silverlane Beach House. is the second-most instagrammed swing in Sri Lanka. Dikwella Beach is located in the little town of Dikwella, 65 km away from Unawatuna. This rope swing is found outside the Dikwella Beach Hotel on the eastern side of the Dikwella beach.

Alakola also referred to as Thaliya Wetuna Ella is a waterfall which is located in Alakola estate in the Knuckles mountain range, Matale of Province. The was named after a tea planter called Collen who was active during the colonial era.
