🏡 1. Housekeeping & Room Service Volunteer

Help us maintain a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests.
Responsibilities

* Clean guest rooms daily.
* Prepare rooms before guest arrivals.
* Change bed linens and towels.
* Clean bathrooms and guest facilities.
* Keep service areas clean and organized.
* Support the housekeeping team.

Become the welcoming face of Shanda Lodge.
Responsibilities
* Welcome guests and assist with check-in and check-out.
* Explain all Shanda programs and wellness experiences.
* Coordinate guest schedules.
* Organize safari trips and cultural excursions.
* Assist guests with yoga, wellness, spa, and healing program bookings.
* Help create unforgettable guest experiences.
🥗 3. Healthy Kitchen & Nutrition Volunteer
We're looking for volunteers passionate about healthy food and nutrition.
Responsibilities
* Design healthy meal plans.
* Prepare nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.
* Create vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and detox menus.
* Develop Farm-to-Table experiences.
* Integrate produce from Shanda's organic farm into daily meals.
* Educate guests about healthy eating and mindful nutrition.
🌿 4. Organic Farm & Garden Volunteer
Help us care for one of the most beautiful parts of Shanda.
Responsibilities
* Support our organic farm.
* Plant and harvest seasonal vegetables and herbs.
* Care for trees and flowers.
* Help beautify the gardens and outdoor spaces.
* Participate in sustainability and landscaping projects.
Perfect for people who love gardening, nature, and sustainable agriculture.
🌍 5. International Marketing & Sales Volunteer
Help introduce Shanda Lodge to the world.
Responsibilities
* Promote Shanda's wellness and retreat programs.
* Create engaging social media content.
* Build relationships with travel agencies.
* Connect with wellness communities and yoga groups.
* Contact retreat leaders and international tour operators.
* Promote Shanda in your local market.
* Generate new bookings and partnerships.

Walk Through a Living Medieval Oasis Town

Step into the heart of Dakhla Oasis and explore Qasr Dakhla, one of Egypt's most fascinating historic settlements. Built upon the remains of an ancient Roman fortress and continuously inhabited for centuries, Qasr Dakhla offers visitors a unique journey through Roman, Coptic, Ayyubid, Mamluk, Ottoman, and modern Egyptian history.

With its narrow alleys, mud-brick architecture, ancient mosques, historic houses, and traditional atmosphere, Qasr Dakhla remains one of the most authentic heritage sites in the Western Desert.

Highlights of the Visit
The Old Town of Qasr

Wander through a maze of narrow streets designed for protection and community life. The town's traditional mud-brick houses, many reaching four and five stories, reflect centuries of oasis architecture and craftsmanship.

Abu Nafir House

One of the beautifully restored Ottoman-era residences, now open to visitors. The house incorporates stones from an ancient Ptolemaic temple and offers a glimpse into the lifestyle of wealthy oasis families.

Beit Al-Qurashi

The name "Muzzawaqa" means "the decorated ones" in Arabic, referring to the beautifully painted tombs that have made the site famous.
