今屆賽事設有四大競賽項目，包括南獅規定樁陣自選套路（高樁）、女子傳統南獅、青少年傳統南獅及兒童組傳統南獅賽，匯聚世界各地獅壇精英同場獻技，競逐獅王寶座。

On October 10-11, the 13th International Lion Dance Championship 2026 - MGM CUP returns to Macau's UNESCO-listed Barra Square, in front of the A-Ma Temple.

This year's championship features four competition categories: Freestyle Lion Dance (High Pole), Women's Traditional Lion Dance, Youth Traditional Lion Dance, and Junior Traditional Lion Dance Championship, bringing together top lion dance talents from around the world.

Furthermore, Lion Dance Festival 2026 will feature heritage, art and community experiences across Macau, highlighting the city's unique blend of culture, sports and tourism.

第十三屆「獅王爭霸國際賽2026－美高梅盃」新聞發布會暨第十二屆「美高梅幼獅暑期興趣班2026」畢業典禮日前於美高梅劇院圓滿舉行。逾百位幼獅學員帶來他們的畢業表演後，《澳門2049》舞獅演員亦帶來精彩演出助興，為今年賽事正式揭開序幕。

今年賽事規模再創歷屆新高，將於10月10日至11日在世界文化遺產媽閣廟前地舉行，匯聚來自14個國家及地區、25支隊伍及超過270位運動員同場競技，更首次迎來加拿大獅隊參賽。 為迎接年度醒獅盛事，美高梅將於9月19日至10月18日在媽閣塘片區海事工房1號舉辦「獅藝文化週2026」展覽，透過展覽及系列活動，帶領公眾探索醒獅文化的傳承與創新。

Young Lions Graduate. The Championship Begins!

More than a hundred young lion dancers performed their graduation show, followed by the special show from the Macau 2049 performers at MGM Theater to celebrate the graduation of the 12th MGM Junior Lion Dance Summer Class 2026 and kick off the 13th International Lion Dance Championship 2026 – MGM Cup.

This year's championship, the largest edition to date, will welcome over 270 athletes from 25 teams across 14 countries and regions to Barra Square in front of A-Ma Temple on October 10-11, including the competition debut of a Canadian lion dance team. Before the action begins, “Lion Dance Festival 2026” exhibition will take place from September 19 to October 18 at Navy Yard No. 1 in the Barra District, inviting visitors to discover the heritage and evolution of lion dance culture.
