For World Oceans Day 2026, Patina Maldives brings the theme of reimagining our relationship with the ocean into focus through ongoing action in its own waters. With drone-assisted aerial monitoring, our divers retrieve ghost nets that pose hidden risks to marine life, repurposing them through guest workshops that turn marine debris into a reminder of shared responsibility.
Alongside coral restoration, ceramics workshops and Blue School activities, each effort brings guests closer to the work of ocean guardianship. Here, the ocean is not only a view, but a living world to understand, protect and restore, shaping a more conscious way to travel and a more meaningful imprint to leave behind.
