NAUKA 45 / Nayarit was imagined as a beach retreat where color becomes part of the atmosphere rather than the statement.

Each space introduces its own pastel palette — soft terracottas, dusty blush, warm butter tones, muted ocean blues, sage greens — creating moments of personality throughout the home while still feeling completely connected through a common thread.

The intention was to create a relaxed coastal mood with an elevated, almost sun-faded softness. A home filled with warmth, natural textures and subtle color transitions that flow effortlessly from one room to another.

Every space has its own identity, yet together they tell the same story.

Colorines / Coming back to this project always feels special.
A space that continues to tell its story, even over time.

This project was always about materiality first.
Before any furniture decisions, we defined the palette — wood, stone, warmth — creating a framework that would quietly guide everything that followed.

From there, the approach became more restrained.
Neutral pieces, soft volumes, and a composition that allows the materials to remain the focus.

Accents were introduced with intention — subtle, but present.
The camel-toned chairs, still a favorite, add just enough contrast without disrupting the balance.

Nothing here competes.
Each element holds its place, contributing to a space that feels layered, calm, and quietly expressive.

The material decides everything.
Before the sofa. Before the paint color. Before the lamp.
Most designers start with furniture. I start with the anchor material — the one that sets the tone, the temperature, and the scale of the entire space.
My rule: one hero, two that support it, one that surprises. Never more than four in the same room.
In the project you see in this carousel: oak as the base, travertine at the fireplace, chukum on the walls, brass as the accent. Every decision that followed was easy — because the foundation was already set.

1️⃣Natural textures take the lead — woven chairs crafted with local materials, paired with a terracotta-toned concrete table made by Mexican artisans.

2️⃣An open kitchen designed to live alongside the home — where woven textures, warm wood, and soft light come together for effortless connection.

3️⃣A wood headboard wrapped in natural textile anchors the space — paired with leather chairs and a travertine table, in a palette that feels warm, grounded, and quietly refined.
