🏵️🌺 Goodbye Cempaxóchitl, hello Cuetlaxóchitl! As we transition seasons, we celebrate Mexico’s vibrant gifts to the world—flowers whose beauty brightens holidays worldwide.
These iconic blooms, both native to Mexico, carry poetic names in Nahuatl, the most spoken Indigenous language in Mexico to this day. Cempaxóchitl (marigold) means “twenty flowers,” while Cuetlaxóchitl (Nochebuena or poinsettia) translates to “flower that withers.” Together, they showcase the enduring elegance of Mexico’s rich biodiversity.
