Owned by veteran restaurateur David Chin and his son Brian, Ramen David KL isn’t trying to replicate what you’d find in Japan. Instead, after training under a ramen master in Osaka, they’ve created a pork-free ramen concept that blends Japanese techniques with flavours better suited to Malaysian palates.

We found it wonderful as the food was good, and the little ones gobbled it all up too.

The Magic Table, currently running in Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, is a 3D dinner experience blending illusion, diner interaction and a gastronomy feast all in one. The duo behind the creative concept, and who plays your digital hosts throughout the dinner is The Clairvoyants - Thommy Ten & Amélie van Tass.

We found the experience delightful, fun, and think it best suited for older kids and up.

When we received the invite for The Magic Table, a 3D dinner experience blending illusion, diner interaction and a gastronomy feast all in one, I accepted eagerly. More so since this dinner experience seemed to be one which would excite the teen (cue “another dinner??” with eyes rolled).

Strato at Troika Sky Dining is a 13 year old semi-casual dining eatery with Italian classics specifically from the Lombardi region. We visited for the first time recently and found it to be cosy, and were impressed with the flavours and options.

Located in a luxury upscale apartment block called Troika (very near to KLCC), Strato is one of the four sky dining restaurant experiences on the 23rd floor.
