🚙🏕️ Not every camping trip goes according to plan… and that’s part of the adventure.
Our original plan was to camp at Pulau Campsite, Tanjung Malim, while using the trip as a chance to improve our off-road driving skills.
The trail started off well, but after a few challenging sections, we reached a muddy stretch where our vehicle almost got stuck. We gave it a few attempts, but being the only vehicle deep in the forest with no mobile signal made us stop and think.
Sometimes, turning back isn’t giving up—it’s making the right decision.
Safety always comes first. 💯
So, we switched to Plan B and headed to Wild Campsite Sungai Seladang, just a few minutes away, where we still got to enjoy an amazing camping experience.
This challenge isn’t over. We’ll definitely be back, but next time with a convoy, better preparation, and more recovery gear. Every trip is a lesson, and every obstacle makes us a better overlander.
A big thank you to Uncle Danny, a veteran 4x4 camper we met at Wild Campsite, for generously sharing his knowledge and experience on tackling trails like these. Really appreciate all the tips, and we’re looking forward to learning more from you on our next adventure! 🙌
Sometimes the destination changes, but the adventure is still worth every kilometre. 🚙🌿
