I went to see the situation at the Kosi Bay Border this morning.
Long queues of South African Holiday makers leaving Moz, returning to SA. Not one vehicle entering from SA to Moz in the hour I was there.

According to Head of Mozambique side, opening hours until 15th Jan, are 6.00AM to 8PM.
The new Temporary Car Import permit (TIP) cost of Mts 750 (about R150) is being applied.

COVID Quick tests were being done on the SA side for South Africans returning to SA. Apparently only valid for 96 hours and not 14 days but I couldn't confirm. Only one person doing the tests and was to busy to talk to.
Surprisingly, despite this, line was moving. Cost of test R170.00 and about 30 minutes to complete.

Definitely far easier to visit Ponta from here than Ressano Gracia / Komatipoort
