Morning Prayer To Orí
Orí Inú mi, àṣáájú ayé mi,
Mo dúpẹ́ fún ìrísí ọjọ́ tuntun yìí,
Mo fi ọpẹ́ gún Olódùmarè, Ọba gbogbo ayé,
Tó dá mi, tó fún mi ní ẹ̀mí àti ìlera.
Mo dúpẹ́ fún Ajé, ẹ̀mí àṣeyọrí àti àgbára ọrọ̀,
Ẹ̀mí tí ń fi ìrẹ̀ àti àlàáfíà ṣe àkóso ilé wa.
Ajé, ẹ̀wà ìrìnàjò mi,
Jẹ́ kí ọrọ̀ tó kọjá jẹ́ ìtẹ́síwájú fún mi,
Kí ọrọ̀ tó wà lónìí di ìmúlòlùfé,
Kí ọrọ̀ tó ń bọ̀ wá sí mi pọ̀ síi bí omi òkun.
Orí Inú mi, oníṣe tí kò ṣeé fi owó rà,
Má jẹ́ kí n fọ́jú kọ ajé tí Olódùmarè fi rán sí mi,
Má jẹ́ kí ìbànújẹ tàbí ìrònú di ìwọ̀n ìbùkún mi.
Ṣí ọ̀nà rere fún mi,
Kí ọwọ́ mi má bà jẹ́,
Kí gbogbo ohun tí mo bá fi ọwọ́ kàn yí padà sí orò rere.
Olódùmarè, Olúwa gbogbo àṣeyọrí,
Fún mi ní ọgbọ́n láti ṣètò ọrọ̀ mi,
Ní sùúrù láti dúró de àkókò ayé mi,
Ní ọ̀pẹ́ láti mọ̀ pé gbogbo ohun rere ń bọ̀ síwájú mi.
Àse.
Translation:
My Inner Head, the leader of my destiny,
I give thanks for the sight of this new day.
I give thanks to Olódùmarè, the King of all creation,
Who made me, and blessed me with life and good health.
I give thanks for Ajé, the spirit of prosperity and abundance,
The divine force that rules wealth and peace within the home.
Ajé, the beauty of my journey,
Let the wealth I’ve known strengthen my foundation,
Let the wealth I have today be multiplied in wisdom and joy,
And let the wealth yet to come rise upon me like the ocean tide.
My Inner Head, precious and irreplaceable essence,
Do not let me turn away from the prosperity sent by Olódùmarè.
Do not let worry or fear limit my blessings.
Open good paths before me,
Keep my hands from waste,
And let everything I touch turn into something good.
Olódùmarè, Lord of all success,
Grant me wisdom to manage my riches,
Patience to wait for my divine timing,
And gratitude to remember that all good things are on their way.
