⚠️ Dead phone? Don't give up too quickly!

The customer thought this phone was completely dead. Instead of giving up, I carried out a careful diagnosis and discovered the fault. After working on it with just a soldering iron, the phone powered back on! 🔥📱

Every "dead" phone has a story. The key is proper troubleshooting before replacing parts.

DON’T CHANGE THE CHARGING PORT YET!

Before replacing a charging port, a technician should first check:

🔹 VBUS — Is charging voltage reaching the board?
🔹 VCHG — Is the charging path receiving the expected voltage?
🔹 GND — Is the ground connection good?
🔹 NTC — Is the battery temperature-sensing line okay?

A charging problem can come from the port, charging path, protection components, or battery circuit.

👉 Good technicians diagnose first. They don't just replace parts.

📘 PCB Sections Explained – Episode 2: The Display Section

A phone can power on and still show a black screen.

Does that automatically mean the screen is faulty?

No!

Before replacing a display, a professional technician checks the entire display circuit:
✅ Display connector
✅ Display power lines
✅ Display signal lines
✅ Backlight circuit
✅ Related components on the motherboard

This is the difference between guessing and diagnosing.

🚨 Most people think a phone motherboard is just one big circuit... but that's completely wrong!

A smartphone PCB is divided into different sections, and every section has a specific job.

✅ Power Section
✅ Charging Section
✅ Display Section
✅ Audio Section
✅ Camera Section
✅ Network Section

This is why professional technicians don't troubleshoot the entire board at once. We identify the faulty section first, then diagnose the circuit inside that section.
