The 2nd temp(e)tation event was held during Indonesia Week. And this time in collaboration with the Indonesian Tempe Movement we created an workshop experience.

Three chefs living in Europe, Jimmy Lo Hamzah, Yudi Yahya and Ari Munandar gave their best performance by showing tempe creations from traditional, fusion to high style.

Wida Winarno gave the participants an explanation about the history of tempeh, its creation process and future. And of course, everybody had a chance to create their own tempeh.

This event tried to show that everybody can get the benefits from tempeh and aims to change the opinion that this super food from Indonesia is not only for home food, vegans or vegetarians, but can be used in all kitchen styles.

The event was open with Nanjak Ganjen traditional dance by Ina dancer from Arnhem.

Reza Akil, one of the founders of the tempetation and creator of the name, was MC for the experience.

Mr Ambassador I Gusti Wesaka Puja opening the event and the Indonesian Minister of Finance gave a surprise visit to the event.

On Saturday 12th of November, Indonesia Pavilion experienced its busiest day.

The chefs were actively promoting the products, by using them together with fresh ingredients and letting the audience taste. For someone at home these products give a good starting point for making great Indonesian food in an easy way.

Dance performances by Madaloka showed a part of the Indonesian cultural heritage and the audience enjoyed watching them.

Last but not least, the Indonesia ambassador was present whole day and he gave several demo's, from making nasi goreng to Indonesian coffee. Truly enjoyable to see!

And let's not forgot that we had a surprise visit by Indonesian minister of finance Mrs. Sri Mulyani Indrawati.

From the 7th thru the 13th of November 2016 Pavilion Indonesia opened to show Indonesian products, which are available in the Netherlands.

In cooperation with Wah Nam Hong supermarket, We Love Asia - Indonesia Week this event was created to support all the importers and distributors that already work hard to bring the products enter the Netherlands.

By showing the products and let people taste and sample them, there will be an increased interest and people get to know the products. In the end, it should result in an increased export from Indonesia to The Netherlands.
