In 2023, we started by renting out part of our home on Airbnb. But in the summer of 2025, we officially opened our inn — and what a joy it's been!

One of the most loved activities so far? Lefse baking! 🧡
This summer, we had the pleasure of hosting a lovely family from the U.S. with Norwegian roots — the most wonderful guests who fully embraced the lefse-making tradition. 😊

Did you know that almost every place in Norway has its own style of lefse?
Here in Selbu, we make Selbulefse (Selbulems) — thin, soft, sweet, and filled with local heritage. We're lucky to have Heidi, a kind and talented local expert, who guides our guests through the process with care. 🌞

Animals are simply part of everyday life here at the inn. Now and then, the curious cows wander close and greet our guests from the hillside above — as if to say, "Welcome to the countryside!"

Nature surrounds us, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. It brings a special kind of peace — the kind that makes you breathe a little deeper and smile a little more.

This photo was taken by our hostess, Ida, on one of her favorite local hikes. It’s just one of many beautiful trails waiting for you when you come to stay with us. Fresh air, friendly animals, and quiet moments — that’s what life at the inn is all about.
