Some stories are difficult to tell, but important to confront.

Henry Rinnan’s betrayal and the suffering caused by his network remain a painful part of Trøndelag’s wartime history. Telling this story on screen, with filming in the region where it unfolded, means a great deal.

THE TRAITOR WITHIN spent ten days filming in Trondheim and on Frøya, with local crew involved. The series is produced by Miso Film Norge, with Kristin Ulseth and Are Heidenstrøm as producers and Bente Maalen of Blaane as regional co-producer. It is written by Øyvind Holtmon and Eirik M. Holsve and directed by Kenneth Karlstad.

Det er ingenting som gleder en filmkommisjon mer enn dette: Et filmteam kommer tilbake fordi både lokasjonene og folkene leverte forrige gang. Trollegget satte Oppdal på kartet, og nå ser vi ringvirkningene.

Oppdal har vist at bygda kan ta imot filmproduksjoner. Her finnes flotte lokasjoner, god infrastruktur, lokale fiksere og kjentfolk som stiller opp foran og bak kamera. Takk til alle som bidrar! Vi håper å se enda flere filmteam i bygda framover. Oppdal, så klart ❤️

Ola Kvernberg is nominated for the 2026 Nordic Council Music Prize for his score to Flåklypa – fra Paris til pyramidene - produced by Qvisten Animation AS

This is a remarkable moment — for Norwegian film music, for our region, and for the recognition of film music as a powerful, independent art form.

The Nordic Council Music Prize is one of the most prestigious music prizes in the Nordic region, and seeing a composer from our part of Norway nominated for a film score is both rare and incredibly inspiring. ❤️🤩

So far, we have only found two previous nominations where film music/soundtrack was nominated as the work itself: Hildur Guðnadóttir’s Chernobyl in 2020 and Jonas Struck’s Apolonia Apolonia in 2024. That makes this nomination truly special.
