I used to think a good throwing session needed a proper stretch of time.
Enough time to make a few things.
Enough time to justify the setup.
and enough time to make the clean-up feel worth it.
But lately I’ve been letting the smaller sessions count.
One or two pieces.
An hour at the wheel.
A small amount of clay.
Sometimes something works.
Sometimes it doesn’t.
Sometimes it breaks, but it still counts.
Because I’ve still had time with clay.
And sometimes that’s enough to keep the rhythm going — and enough to want to come back again.
Just sharing this, in case anyone else is trying to find their way back to the wheel ... small sessions still count :)
