We have just finished installing a new privacy screen at the Fern and Thistle sauna area.

This creates a much more private space for showering and changing before or after your sauna session. The area now includes a shelf for your belongings and a gas heated shower that provides hot water in seconds, so you can rinse off comfortably any time of year.

Our private garden sauna is open to the public, not just accommodation guests, and bookings are now available.

$45 for 45 minutes

Group pricing
2 to 4 people add $10 per person
5 to 6 people add $5 per person

Thanks so much to everyone around Balclutha who gave us feedback on our recent sauna poll.

We received an incredible amount of interest so we have officially decided to go ahead with adding a private sauna experience here at Fern and Thistle.

We have been working behind the scenes on updates to our website to accommodate the new booking system and will soon begin work on an improved private changing area around the sauna to ensure guests have a comfortable and fully private experience.

We are expecting to open bookings from early next month with sessions up and running by mid March.

We are really excited to bring this to our local community and cannot wait to welcome you all soon.
