Ohh heyyy, so do you remember back in January when I teased that I was launching a new collection?

And that it was called The Green Thumb - Mini Gardening Collection? 🪴

And I said it would be launching soon? 🫠

Well... does three entire months later still count as soon?? 😖

Well, a bunch of stuff got in the way (hello mid-summer preschool illnesses, you are not welcome here)...
..but I'm finally launching the thing!

AND I've teamed up with the most gorgeous local business to do a wee giveaway to celebrate! 🥳

school terms yet, but I’ve been hearing from so many of you (+ gorgeous teacher friends) that you’re craaawling towards the end of term!

I have found that bookings spike during the school

So impressed by these gorgeous little makers and their wonderful creations! 👑🪄

We had such a blast making nature crowns, nature wands, leaf prints + Easter Bunny pegs with more than 50 children + young people at the Kiosk on Saturday 🐰🍂

Thank you so much to those of you who joined us for this Creative Toys + Nature Craft workshop - it was a real privilege to spend the day with your families, and to watch your creations come to life.

It was such a joy to partner with you, Christchurch Envirokids - I'm so impressed by these free Saturday sessions, and all of the incredible work you do to develop mini environmentalists. Thank you for having me ✨

And a big big thanks to my family for all of your support in helping me prep for this workshop + your massive help on the day 🤎🤎🤎

Come get creative and make hand-crafted toys with Christchurch Envirokids and Mini Monti - Heirloom Toy Rental! They will create different toys such as flower crowns, wands, leaf prints, and more!

Mini Monti is a sustainable toy rental service for whānau in Ōtautahi ChCh. They curate Play Collections made from beautiful natural materials. Run by a local Mum, she sources toys and Montessori-inspired materials from Kiwi makers, and enterprises overseas that pay their artisans an empowering wage. A perfect reminder of the power of 𝚜𝚖𝚊𝚕𝚕 🤎

This all adds up to something HUGE!

I think it's easy to beat ourselves up about habits, purchases, and behaviours that seem 'unsustainable'.

But it's even easier to forget about all of the great choices we make, even the tiny ones, that make a huge difference every day.

I'm honestly thrilled that this rental model is resonating with you.. like-minded parents and carers who want to keep your footprint small, without restricting the cool things they bring into your homes!

It feel great to give you the ability to offer beautiful Play Collections to your children, that don't then sit around taking up space once their interests have shifted!

Question: What's one small thing you've changed in your life recently that you're proud of?

For me, I've finally finished my last tube of petroleum jelly-based lip balm. I've now shifted to Ethique lip balms; natural ingredients in compostable tubes! 🤎 x
