A big thank you to Lyndon and Jamie from Otago - Fire and Emergency, who dropped in this week with a generous load of lunch supplies and cleaning products for the shelter.
We're grateful for their support, and for everyone else who has stopped by with food and household goods lately. These donations make a real difference to the day-to-day running of the shelter and the people who stay with us.

A big thank you to one of our wonderful supporters who dropped off a basket of goodies this week.
These snacks will go into lunches for our guests, and the coffee, biscuits and sugar are always appreciated as they're the everyday items we get through quickly.
We're grateful for the community support that keeps our shelter running. Ka pai.

We're putting out a call for donations of new clothing, and right now we have a real need for:
Hoodies
T-shirts
Track pants
All sizes welcome, but we're particularly short on men's track pants in size 32 or medium, so if you spot some on sale, please think of us!

Items must be new or in near new condition please.

📍 Drop off in person at the Dunedin Night Shelter on weekdays, come to the front door and our team will be happy to receive your donation.

Meet Jane Black, she's lacing up her boots and walking the length of Te Waipounamu on Te Araroa Trail, from Bluff all the way to Ship Cove in the Marlborough Sounds, that's 1,300 kms!

Jane chose to use her journey to shine a light on the work we do, so a huge thank you goes to her!

We wanted to say a huge thank you to some wonderful community supporters who helped make Christmas at the Night Shelter extra special! 🎄

Lee from New Zealand Kettle Korn dropped off a generous donation including ham, fruit juice and delicious KettleKorn popcorn to help with meals over the Christmas period.

Glennys and Jenny from Altrusa International of Taieri also popped in with Christmas goodies, blankets and toiletries for our guests.

We're so grateful for the kindness and generosity of local businesses and community groups who think of those doing it tough over the holiday season. Thank you! ❤️

A huge thank you to the Dunedin Craft Beer & Food Festival for choosing to support us as one of their charity partners this year! 🍻
We're so grateful to be part of a community that comes together to look after one another. Cheers to everyone who attended the festival and helped make this possible!

We wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who came through the gates at this year’s Dunedin Craft Beer & Food Festival. Your generosity through wristband donations has helped raise $30,000 to give back to our community! 🙌

These funds will be equally shared between this year’s three incredible charities:

Dunedin Night Shelter - A vital service offering free emergency accommodation to individuals in need, irrespective of gender or background.

KiwiHarvest - Combatting food waste by rescuing good quality surplus food every month, and diverting it back to people who are struggling across New Zealand.

New Zealand Sea Lion Trust - Protecting, supporting research on, and providing education about, this endangered marine mammal species.

Your kindness ensures these groups can continue doing their amazing work ❤️

🏠 A heartfelt thank you & donation update 💙 We are completely blown away by your incredible generosity Dunedin.

Thanks to your support, we have been overwhelmed with clothing donations - so much so that we've run out of space to store everything!

For this reason, we're unable to accept any more clothing donations until further notice. We know this comes from such a caring place, and we truly appreciate every single item you've thought to give.

What we DO need🛏️

We would love and appreciate donations of:
• King single bedding
• Double bedding

Please note: We don't have queen, king, or super king beds, so unfortunately we can't use those sizes.
