HELMETS SAVE LIVES — IMPORTANT UPDATE

From 1 January 2027, NZPCA & ESNZ will begin implementing the updated FEI helmet safety standards.

Yellow tags stay the same, but the standards eligible for tagging are changing to meet modern safety requirements.

✔ Some older helmet standards will not be accepted for new tagging after 1 Jan 2027
✔ Already-tagged helmets can still be worn
✔ Check the helmet standards if you’re purchasing a new helmet in the future and plan ahead

Congratulations to our Griffins Games team placing 2nd out of 8 teams today ..


7th bottle shuffle
1st Stepping stones/agility aces
3rd socks in bucket
1st Pony express
1st Flag flyers
1st Speed weavers

The team carried a penalty due to riders ages not fitting inside the requirements but we’re just wrapped to get a team together for it 👏🏼.

Good luck to our team competing tomorrow!

Very grateful we can work alongside the Wyndham A&P Society to bring these events to Wyndham.

Bbq | second hand sale | entertainment … what more could you ask for?!

If you’re around the area tomorrow pop along to watch the action at the grounds! Southland Pony Clubs Griffins Games competition is on from 10am.

Huge thanks to our committee & Three Rivers Contracting Ltd for getting our grounds looking very sharp with short notice.

We wish everyone competing at the games & our neighbouring show Gore A&P this weekend all the best. 💫.

🌟 Friendly Reminder to All Arena Users 🌟

A quick note to everyone using the Pony Club arena which is on the Wyndham A&P Society grounds.

Please remember to treat the space with respect so it stays safe and enjoyable for everyone.

💵 ground fee of $10 is per horse/pony or purchase a key for your family for the season for $100.

🚘 Don’t park floats within 10m of arena - there is plenty of space available.

🐴 Pick up all manure — leaving poo in the arena or close proximity isn’t acceptable.

🌾 Take your hay with you — please don’t leave hay piles around shared spaces. We end up with spots of dead grass.

🔧 Report any damage — if something breaks or gets damaged, let someone know straight away with a message to this page. Accidents happen, but not telling anyone creates bigger problems for everyone.

Let’s all do our part to keep the grounds tidy, safe, and welcoming for riders and horses alike.

Thanks for being considerate and helping us look after the grounds.

We opened our new games gear tonight 🙌🏻

Thanks to our community board for the $2000 grant they gave us after our member Emily Cameron (pictured) presented to them.

The kids had a quick play tonight, we can’t wait to have lots of fun with it all!
