We are without power at the moment in the office. The electrician is here but it is part of the upgrade. We don’t have access to computer or phones…sorry for any inconvenience.

Safety first! As some of you may know, work has well and truly swung into action.
We are pleased to be constantly seeing a lot of progress on a daily basis and hope this continues going forward. The guys on-site have been troopers and have gone home for a few days to recharge for another week.

We are upgrading our wastewater and electricity infrastructure commencing 1 July 2025. This is expected to be completed by 1 December 2025.
While the campground will remain open, we will have reduced capacity, and some facilities may be impacted temporarily.
Work hours are between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm daily, some weekend work and no noisy equipment used prior to 8.30am.
Please bear with us while we get the campground into ship shape condition to cope with many more happy years of camping for everyone. 🚽 🚿 🛁 🦺🔌 🏕 ☺

Peketā Campground is on an exciting journey, upgrading our core facilities to enhance our visitor experience. We're looking for a hands-on, motivated Campground Manager to lead our small team and help shape the future of this unique coastal retreat.

As the Campground Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Peketā Campground, ensuring a welcoming and well-maintained environment for guests. Your role will include:

Leading and motivating a small team to deliver excellent customer service.
Managing bookings, administration, and general business operations.
Overseeing and delivering site maintenance, cleaning, and general upkeep.
Rolling up your sleeves to assist with hands-on tasks as needed.
Ensuring health and safety standards are met.
Working varied hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Remaining onsite some nights as part of our team roster.
