Just a reminder to everybody

We're beginning work on State Highway 3 Awakino Gorge to install 3 new culverts. So we can install the culverts safely we're closing State Highway 3 Awakino Gorge temporarily.

The gorge will be closing from 6am Saturday 22 August to 6pm Tuesday 25 August. These times have been updated since our previous post we published last week.

We know this closure will be disruptive, but it’s essential, as there’s not much space in the gorge and we need to open the road and install the culverts underneath it.

Yeah Strathmore Rugby Team, well done

What a hard-fought battle! Both teams left everything out on the field but in the end Strathmore Rugby Football Club came away with the cup.
Final Score: 26-34 💚

A huge congratulations to the Whanga girls, who took out the Jean Cup with a fantastic win over Toko! 🖤🏆
