Hi, I'm Jessica. 👋

I thought it was about time I introduced myself properly.

I'm 48, live in Paraparaumu Beach, and I'm a proud mum to an amazing 8 year old daughter.

Before all this, I spent many years working as an Executive Assistant across a range of industries and countries. I've been fortunate enough to live and work in Italy, Dubai, Australia and Thailand, experiences that taught me resilience, adaptability and the importance of great customer service.

About 18 months ago, I lost my job in the construction industry. Rather than seeing it as the end of a chapter, it became the start of a completely new one.

I decided to take a leap of faith, retraining as a Child Restraint Technician, Home Performance Advisor and Test & Tag technician. Along the way, the opportunity came up to purchase Just Bring Baby, and I knew it was something special.

As a mum myself, I know how much "stuff" little people need! Whether you're travelling with children, welcoming grandchildren for the holidays, or simply need equipment for a short time, buying everything isn't always practical.

That's why I love what Just Bring Baby does.

My goal isn't just to hire out baby equipment. It's to make life easier for families. I want the process to be simple, friendly and stress-free, so you can spend less time worrying about logistics and more time making memories.

Because I'm a qualified Child Restraint Technician, I can also make sure car seats are installed correctly and safely, giving parents and caregivers extra peace of mind.

Community has always been important to me. I'm also the founder of Kapiti Crop Swap, which brings people together to share produce and plants, and Kapiti Brains Trust (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1503143701155373), where local business owners help each other solve problems and achieve their goals.

Baby! It is cold outside!
But I will still be at Plunket Kapiti today for the car seat clinic with Bruce and Conan. Please come along with your car seat issues, so I get to keep moving and don't get cold!

Sadly Bruce is unwell this week, so our carseat clinic is being canceled this Friday. Next one is in June.

🚨 **Beware of Baby Way - do not buy your seats from here.** 🚨

We’ve recently seen a few baby car seats circulating online that look like a bargain… but unfortunately don’t meet New Zealand safety standards. Specifically if you buy from Baby Way.

When it comes to car seats, if the price seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Things to watch out for:
• No clear NZ/AU safety standard labels (AS/NZS 1754)
• Very cheap “bundle deals” that include multiple products
• Seats that feel lightweight or flimsy
• Sellers who can’t confirm the safety certification

Your car seat is the single most important piece of safety equipment your child will use. It’s not the place to cut corners.
