Many may know some of my history of working within humanitarian and community services around the world.... and for some time I have had a drive to do more here in NZ.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to host guests, and be a kaitiaki (caretaker), at Heartlanz, and this next stage is not only developing an asset for the local community, but also an extension of Heartlanz (The Heartlanz Co-operative, non-profit organisation).
Thus, retail, workshop, recording studio, recreational spaces etc, will be available to locals and all, from around the country, with accommodation options also galore 😀
I have been leasing the property for some years from a beautiful elderly couple from Auckland, that need to sell the building and have offered it to me at a huge discount. I have already built and renovated many of the spaces, but with all the grand plans, I will be looking at selling many of my personal assets to help fund these.
In the meantime, the owners son has got involved and they have put a time limit on (as he's got some of his own ideas).
Mid November is the settlement, thus some urgency. Here are some ideas for people to be able to help/support and or invest, rather than lining the pocket of a bank.
Storage and workshop space for festival theme camps. 5 spaces equal to 20ft container for storage, plus all access to tools and workshop areas, discounted accommodation options, plus access to/assistance with transportation (bus, truck, trailers available). These packages are negotiable, but would start around $2000 for a year, but happy to discuss any variables.
Investment platform will consist of either a $2000 or $5000 2 year contract (lesser amounts of gifts or investment won't be denied, just will be without legal paperwork)
Investments will be remunirised with a 7% interest rate + free accommodation packages could bring actual return up to 12% +.
Fundraising goal is $260k which covers purchase price, gst and legal fees (I've already put $30k + more shortly, of my own personal funds in)
Obviously no funds will be drawn on, or used for anything else, other than this building.
