It's that time of year again at Fantail Hill - Plum season!
and as usual Siggi devotes a few days to gathering the plums from our tree (before the Wood Pigeons eat them all), removing all the stones before stewing them in a huge pot with a couple of Cinnamon sticks and this year we used raw coconut sugar. That's how we get that delicious tangy taste with a hint of spice - unique!
We have now prepared about a years supply of it so looking forward to you enjoying it with Lewis Road Creamery butter on a slice of Volare seeded sourdough bread - heaven!

The Fantail family had a day off in Auckland and especially with Mia in mind we headed for one of our favourite and most peaceful spots right in the heart of the city but feels like a million miles away from the traffic and congestion. Meola Reef is a wonderful off leash dog park with lovely views across the harbour, the dense native plantings are alive with the song of Tui and wetland birds 🦅 🌴
