Our beautiful new front door! - a huge thank you to Kevin and David for installing it for us - and to all their supporters who resisted offering advice. I genuinely had no idea how hard it is to hang a new door in an old (slightly bowed as it turns out) frame. Thank you Antonia for the video - ‘1 door, 2 men, 2 days’ ❤️😎. We got there!!

There's always something going on at Rose Cottage.

Simon's spent his summer break improving the bathdeck area. The lavender and geraniums now have a raised bed and a retaining wall that doubles as a bench seat.

More space for enjoying the nightly Wairarapa sunset.

And a new pipe was dug in, going to the frog pond. I'm not 100% sure why we needed the new pipe, but it kept Simon busy playing in the field for a couple of days. 🤷‍

There are lots of great bookshops in Featherston Booktown but we enjoyed stopping in at For the Love Of Books to pick up our holiday reading. Lots of variety and a great selection of children's books (new and used).
