Our favourite view from the garden, looking towards the Abra Malaga Pass. Around half of our guests use our hotel as a base for birdwatching in the area, with excursions to Abra Malaga to see endemic species and to the Inkatambo cloud forest, home to the Andean cock-of-the-rock and a great variety of tanagers.

At first, we weren't sure we wanted bird feeders in our garden and it took a while before we changed our minds. Today, there are more than 20 feeders hidden among the lush vegetation. They complement the flowers and other natural food sources that attract the many birds that visit—and many that have made the Birds Hotel Molino gardens their home.

Looking after the feeders is part of our daily routine. Every day, they are cleaned and refilled to provide fresh source of food for our hummingbirds.
