When people unite together, there is impact.

We continue to make waves of change and ripples of action among the people. Our watersheds have long been neglected, but today they are the headline.

60% of our 5,000 trees campaign volunteer slots have been committed. Wherein a total of Php. 24,000 was raised to pledge for the planting of native tree seedlings at the Upper Marikina Watershed.

It is not too late to join our cause. Join the campaign today. Tomorrow we build forests, together.

Your Tree, Our Future🌱🌳💧

There is only 21% forest cover left in the Upper Marikina Watershed today. A vital water source for the whole of Metro Manila. A green frontier of local wildlife that is now under threat due to rapid urbanization and deforestation.

At Gabriel's Sanctuary, conservation is stewardship not ownership. We steward your planted trees, together with local people's organization, for at least three years.

A commitment that goes beyond our generation?
We can plant a tree in your name in the deforested areas of Upper Marikina Watershed.

Partner with us today and learn more about how we can plant a tree on your behalf.

Together, let's reforest now!

Ang SONA ng Kalikasan 2026🌳💧

The SONA is not yet over, here are the figures on-the-ground where what truly matters lie.

Is Philippines really on the plunge towards development? Or are we failing to see where we should turn our attention into?

As one of the countries where biodiversity is entrenched in our society, the Philippines with its rich minerals and natural resources faces a challenge - a crisis impending to loom over in the near future.

We present to you some of the reports from independent watchdogs and organizations. Photos may or may not depict actual scenarios involved and are not owned by this organization.

Sierra Madre by the Numbers🌳

From flora to fauna, we have been rapidly depleting trees, water, and wildlife especially in the Mother of all Mountains - the Sierra Madre Mountain Range.

The Sierra Madre hosting 40% of the forest cover that is left in the Philippines is facing the greatest threat in our generation. Its importance for biodiversity is astounding with high endemicity of plants and animals that can only be found within its care.

Yet the numbers do not add up, it declines.
Our fight to Save Sierra Madre Now continues.

Bangkal Tree, a native Philippine Tree, is known for its colorful flowers and various medicinal properties. Kabankalan in Negros Occidental is named after the Bangkal tree due to its cultural significance.

This tree can grow up to 30 meters in low to medium altitude forests. Its fruits serve as food for bats, birds, and different pollinators making it ecologically important for wildlife. Its scientific name means "ship's hull' however it is worth noting that no part of the tree resembles its name. While its common name is named after the German explorer Ludwig Leichhardt who encountered this tree in his expedition.

Its heart shaped leaves along with its visually striking flowers make it easy to spot among other trees. Used in Bicol for swelling and in Ifugao to treat wounds. Its bark can also be used for arthritis and diarrhea.

Hindi Binangkal recipe, kundi Bangkal tree ang tatandaan!

Love all trees, but plant native trees 💚
