Ask for a video call or virtual tour of the exact unit. Make sure the unit and building facade match the listing photos.

Look for their listings on Airbnb, Agoda, or Booking.com with real guest reviews.

🔍 3. Search their name online
Search their name + “scam” on Facebook or Google to check for existing complaints or reports.

🏦 4. Verify payment method
Be extra cautious when sending payments. Bank transfers to major banks (BPI, BDO, Security Bank, Metrobank, etc.) may offer BETTER traceability than random e-wallet accounts.

💸 5. Be mindful of unrealistic promos
Super low prices, 50% off deals, or “free breakfast upon full payment” can be common tactics to pressure guests.
