First International Trip: Our Immigration Story ✈️

Prior to my first International trip, I was so worried that me and my partner might get offloaded because I've been reading a lot of horror immigration story from other travelers. However, to lessen my worries, I did what I was supposed to do ---- to research and prepare. I looked for common questions asked and prepared the usual documents being requested of the immigration officers.

🧳Traveler profile: 2 adults; 1 professional (legal field) and 1 still a student
📃 Documents readied:
🟣Basic: Passport, itinerary (flight details/booking), valid ID
🟣Supporting document/s: Bank Statement of account, Booked accommodations, itinerary, latest payslip, and Affidavit of guarantee (for my student partner)

⁉️ How my interview went with the immigration officer:
IO: *on his most straight face* First international trip?
Me: Yes.
IO: Sino kasama mo?
Me: Partner ko po. (points at him)
IO: Patingin ng itinerary.
Me: *showed to him my printed itinerary*
IO: Ano pong trabaho?
Me: ********** po.
Proceeds to stamped my passport!

I guess, when you have true intentions about your international trip i.e. touring the country you are supposed to visit, then the immigration officer are not really to be feared of. We must also be reminded that these people are just doing their job.
