Palawan State University - Brooke's Point The largest extramural studies center of Palawan State University situated at the Municipality of Brooke's Point. Ponce de Leon as its first president.

PSU was established on March 2, 1972, as a teacher-training institution known as the Palawan Teachers College by virtue of Republic Act 4303 with Dr. Walfrido R. It had an initial student population of 101 students enrolled in the BS Elementary Education and BS Education programs, and 40 students in Master of Arts (with several major fields) and Master of Arts in Education. Through Republic Act 79

7 on February 27, 1984, the Palawan Teachers College was transformed into the Palawan State College enabling it to continue offering its existing collegiate courses and to offer new courses in the arts, sciences, and technology. Finally, on November 12, 1994, PSC was renamed as the Palawan State University through Republic Act 7818, appointing a Board of Regents as its governing body. PSU has two major campuses, the Manalo Campus, where the Laboratory Elementary School, Graduate School and School of Law are located, and the Main Campus in Tiniguiban Heights, which houses the administration building, the different colleges, the Laboratory High School, and the physical plant offices. In addition, a number of extramural studies and programs are being offered in the Palawan State University's College of Community Resources and Development (CCRD) in rural campuses of Rizal, Narra, Araceli, Brooke's Point, Cuyo, Coron, Balabac, Roxas, and El Nido.
