✈️ INCHEON AIRPORT IS NOW THE WORLD’S BUSIEST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT! 🇰🇷
A major milestone for South Korea’s global gateway!
According to preliminary Airports Council International data, Incheon International Airport (ICN) ranked No. 1 worldwide for international passenger traffic from January to June 2026, overtaking London Heathrow and Singapore Changi.
🥇 Incheon International Airport (ICN) — 38.4 million
🥈 London Heathrow (LHR) — 37.8 million
🥉 Singapore Changi (SIN) — 34.5 million
Incheon’s strong first-half performance was driven by growing international travel demand, increased transfer traffic, stronger connections with Europe, and changing flight routes amid geopolitical tensions.
🇨🇳🇯🇵 Rising travel demand from China and Japan also helped boost passenger numbers, while Incheon’s strategic location makes it a key hub connecting Asia with Europe and North America.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable? Incheon Airport opened just 25 years ago. Today, its latest expansion has helped raise its potential capacity to 106 million passengers annually.
From a relatively young airport to No. 1 in the world for international passengers — Incheon is showing just how important South Korea has become in global aviation. 🌏✈️
