Project Nightfall and other 'news agencies' must be held accountable for spreading fake news in the internet. They dramatize, exaggerate, and fabricate lies to make their news 'more appealing' to the people. It is great to celebrate the kid's success, but there is no need to add lies in their posts just to make it viral.

I have posted this in the comment section of Nightfall hoping that he will correct his post but up to now he has not. What is ridiculous is that countless 'social media influencers' are reposting this issue without doing due diligence and fact-checking. Btw, the competition happened 2 years ago, year 2022. But the way these 'influencers' caption and post this it looks as if it happened just very recently.

1. "When 9 year old Bince arrived at Bangkok Airport, he was COMPLETELY ALONE. No coach, no team" May I ask where did you get this information? Or did you just copy and paste info you get from the internet just because the news is 'viral'?

Fact: Bince Rafael Operiano arrived in Bangkok with OTHER age-group champions who represented the country in the Eastern Asia Tournament. I couldn't remember exactly but I think there were 10 other kids.And ofcourse , they have a guardian/coach of legal age that accompanied them. It is not possible for these kids to travel without an adult companion. They have a coach with them when they left. Plus let me add that this trip was supported by the Philippine Sports Commission. Because these kids were champions in the elimination tournament held by National Chess Federation of the Philippines - NCFP their air tickets + hotel accomodation were all shouldered by PSC.I just find it unfair to paint the picture that as if PSC did nothing for this boy.

Yes, his father followed him later in Bangkok to support his child,he paid for his own ticket / solicit funds from good meaning people to be with his child. This one is correct.

But let me clarify as well that there was no truth that the kid slept for 3 nights in airport benches because again when the Phil Team arrived they went straight to their respective hotel which was actually a 4 star hotel.

You are a page with MILLIONS of followers and due diligence must always be practiced before posting anything even if you claim that your intentions are good.. I just want to correct this one- sided post. Happy new year to all.
