It’s finally happening tomorrow — the first-ever gathering of working students in IIT!

This initiative is part of the advocacy of 𝙈𝙭. 𝙍𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝘼𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝘼𝙎𝙎, aiming to create a platform that amplifies the voices and experiences of working students.

This is a safe and open space where we can come together to share our experiences, raise the challenges we face and collectively propose solutions and policies that can better support working students. Expect meaningful conversations and engaging activities throughout the event!

𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 (MISSC) successfully conducted its 𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙮 𝙨𝙖 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 last March 12, 2026 in honor of the 1st Semester officer graduates for AY 2025–2026.

The event served as a heartfelt tribute to the achievements and dedication of the graduates as they reach a significant milestone in their academic journey. It was graced by the presence of MISSC Adviser, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗹 𝗖. 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗼, whose support continue to inspire the organization.

MISSC extends its warmest congratulations to all graduates and wishes them continued success in their future endeavors.

The MSU-IIT SafeStay Connect (MISSC) successfully conducted its Monthly Meeting and Strategic Planning for the second semester, presided over by President Harold Cañas. The session served as a vital platform to align the organization’s direction, focusing on upcoming plans and partnerships.

Through collaborative discussions and shared insights, the organization was able to map out initiatives that aim to further strengthen its advocacy and enhance its service to the student community. This strategic effort reflects MISSC’s dedication to purposeful leadership, active engagement, and continuous growth.

The MSU-IIT SafeStay Connect (MISSC) proudly secured 2𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 out of 9 participating recognized student organizations in the 𝘾𝙊𝙊 𝙏𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙣 𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙤: 𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙉𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙃𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮, held on March 18 at Meow Meow Park.

Representing MISSC were 𝗞𝘆𝗹𝗮 𝗖. 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘄𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗱 and 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵𝘂𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗮𝘆, who demonstrated exceptional knowledge, teamwork, and critical thinking throughout the competition.

Organized in collaboration with the MSU-IIT Office of Student Development Services (OSDS), the League of International Parliamentarians for Global Initiatives (LIPGI) and MSU-IIT Student's Initiative for Nurturing Advocacy and Growth (SINAG), the event highlighted the vital contributions of women in Philippine history.

This achievement reflects MISSC’s continued commitment to academic excellence and active engagement

𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗖 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 | This 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, we celebrate two inspiring women from the SafeStay Connect Community whose leadership continues to create meaningful impact within the student community.

𝗠𝘅. 𝗔𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮, founder and former President of MISSC, transformed her advocacy during Mx. IIT Influencer 2024 into a lasting initiative. What began as a vision became a platform that empowers students—showing that true leadership lies in taking action and turning purpose into reality.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗹 𝗖. 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗼, MISSC Adviser, whose unwavering dedication to student welfare makes her a true woman by example. Through her guidance, compassion, and commitment, she continues to inspire and uplift future leaders.

As the 𝗖𝗢𝗢 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 2026 concludes, MISSC proudly carries forward its mission: to advocate for student boarders and to create spaces where safety, support, and creativity thrive together.

The organization proudly secured the prestigious 𝘽𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙, solidifying its reputation for delivering engaging, innovative, and meaningful presentations.

Staying true to its commitment to service and advocacy, SafeStay Connect captivated visitors through a dynamic and interactive booth that reflected both artistry and purpose. Every detail — from the visual elements to the activities prepared — showcased the organization’s dedication to creating a memorable and impactful experience for the MSU-IIT community.

Further elevating this milestone, SafeStay Connect also received the special recognition “𝘽𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙” for its exceptional ex*****on of the theme “𝘈𝘯𝘪 𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨: 𝘓𝘪𝘬𝘩𝘢 𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘯, 𝘎𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘬𝘰𝘥.” The booth concept and implementation were led by the organization’s Org Fair 2026 Officer-in-Charge, VP Vinz Pedrano, whose leadership and vision played a vital role in bringing the theme to life.

This triple achievement reflects the collective effort, unity, and passion of every MISSC officer, member, and volunteer. More than the awards, the victory symbolizes the organization’s unwavering dedication to service, collaboration, and excellence in representing the student boarder community.
