🚩 RED FLAGS TO WATCH OUT FOR:

1️⃣ Price is too good to be true
During summer, rates are naturally HIGH because it's peak season. So if you see a price that is super cheap or way lower than the usual market rate, be very careful. That is usually the biggest trap!

2️⃣ Check for duplicate names
Search the resort name on Google and social media. Sometimes scammers copy names of famous resorts but use a different page. Compare which one looks official and legitimate.

3️⃣ Verify the location on Google Maps
If you search the address and it DOES NOT EXIST or the location is wrong, that is a huge red flag! Even if they say "we are new," if there is no trace of them online, better not risk it.

4️⃣ Read Reviews
Check if they have real reviews. If the comments are mostly bad, or if there are no reviews at all, look for other options.

5️⃣ Plan Ahead
If your family goes out every summer, book as early as November, December, or January (2-3 months before). Don't rush! When you are in a hurry, you tend to ignore the risks and might end up booking a fake resort.

6️⃣ Do a "Legit Check"
Ask for feedback in social media groups or community pages. I usually post and ask if anyone has already dealt with that resort.

7️⃣ Ask for a Video Tour
Don't just rely on photos. Ask the person you are talking to to give you a live or recorded video tour of the actual place.

8️⃣ Check the Payment Details
Be careful if they only use GoTyme / GCash with NO NAME indicated, or just the resort name as the account holder. Normally, legitimate owners use personal bank accounts (BPI, Metrobank, Unionbank, etc.) showing the NAME OF THE OWNER, not just an anonymous account.

⚠️ PUBLIC ADVISORY: SCAM ALERT ⚠️

Gusto po naming magbigay ng babala tungkol sa scammer na nagpapanggap bilang official page ng aming resort at ginagamit ang pangalan ng resort namin para mang-scam ng mga naghahanap ng matutuluyan.

Kahit 2026 na, tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang scammer sa paggawa ng fake ads at pag-aalok ng sobrang murang promo (₱8,000) para maka-attract ng mga hindi pa aware. Hindi po ito galing sa amin at hindi legit ang mga alok na ito.

📌 PAALALA PO:

Ang totoong rates ng aming resort ay nasa ₱15,000–₱35,000, depende sa lean season, peak season, at holidays

HINDI PO KAMI nag-o-offer ng ₱8,000 rates, lalo na sa peak at holiday dates

Ginagamit ng scammer ang linyang “marami pong kausap, paunahan na lang magpadala” para madaliin at ma-pressure ang guests — red flag po ito

📌 AMING LEGIT NA BOOKING PROCESS:

Lagi po naming ine-encourage ang on-site ocular visit bago magpadala ng kahit anong down payment

Kung hindi kayo makapunta, pwede po ang video call kasama ang aming caretaker para makita ang resort

Pinapayagan po ang ocular visit kahit anong araw at oras, basta walang naka-check in na guest

Kung may guest sa araw na gusto ninyong mag-ocular, amenities lang po ang pwedeng ipakita, hindi ang rooms, para sa privacy at safety ng guests

Hindi po kami nagmamadali o namimilit magpadala ng down payment, kailanman

📌 PAALALA SA MGA FUTURE GUESTS:

Double, triple, at quadruple check ang page na kausap ninyo

Tingnan ang page history, followers, at past posts

Hangga’t maaari, mag-ocular visit o mag-request ng video call bago magpadala ng pera

📌 SA MGA NABIKTIMA NG SCAM:
Nakakatanggap po kami ng messages at comments mula sa mga taong na-scam ng fake page. Taos-puso po kaming nakikiramay at nalulungkot sa nangyari.

Pero nais din po naming linawin:

Biktima rin po kami

WALA po kaming koneksyon sa scammer

Matagal na po naming ni-report ang fake page sa Facebook at sa mga tamang ahensya

Patuloy po naming ina-advise ang mga biktima kung ano ang pwedeng gawin (ACG, bangko, GCash, atbp.)

Humihingi rin po kami ng pag-unawa at respeto. Masakit po para sa aming team ang makatanggap ng masasakit na salita, akusasyon, at pagmumura, lalo na’t ginagawa po namin ang lahat ng aming makakaya para matigil ito.

Gusto rin po naming ipaalam na hindi lang ang aming resort ang nabiktima—mayroon pa pong hindi bababa sa tatlong (3) iba pang resorts na ginamit din ang pangalan para mang-scam.

Kung may makita po kayong page o ad na nagpapanggap bilang kami at may kahina-hinalang murang alok, pakireport po agad at ipaalam sa amin.

The scammer page has begun its spamming of angry/haha reactions on our posts again~ For everyone wondering why we have a lot of negative reactions on our posts, kindly check the profiles of those who did the said reactions. None of which were guests of our resorts or even people who inquired on our page.

‼️Always make sure that you're talking/transacting with the LEGIT page of Villa La Ria 1! ‼️

The scammers have already scammed a lot of people. Using the cheap rates to lure people into reserving their said dates right away, because apparently the scammer page "is talking to multiple people" and using the fast-break tactic to lure you into sending a DP right away.

❌We do not offer Php11,000 for the whole resort on Weekends! We do not offer a promo rate of Php8,000 for Weekdays! Our prices are subject to change and depend on the number of pax. ❌

‼️WHEN IN DOUBT, ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO VISIT THE RESORT AND SPEAK WITH THE CARETAKER IN PERSON! YOU CAN ALSO SEND A REPRESENTATIVE TO CHECK THE RESORT AND SPEAK WITH THE CARETAKER DIRECTLY FOR YOU. WE ALSO OFFER VIDEOCALL OCULAR IF THERE IS NO WAY FOR YOU TO VISIT THE RESORT IN PERSON. WE DO NOT CHOOSE THE DAY FOR YOU TO DO OCULARS. YOU CAN CHOOSE WHICH DAY AND DATE YOU WANT TO VISIT. ‼️

The scammer page is back in action in editing their hidden past posts and adding pictures stolen from our page. As you can compare, the photos and videos they grabbed and re uploaded on their page are posts from past guests who tagged us on their post! If you check their about on their page, you wont find any mentions or tagged pictures/videos.

We have posted time and time again, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE MESSAGING THE LEGIT PAGE. We always encourage guests to visit the resort directly and inspect the place before sending a deposit. We also do not require our guests to send DP directly via online MOPs only. We allow guests to settle the DP and balance at the resort itself!

Also, WE DO NOT HAVE ANY BUSINESS BANK ACCOUNT, BUSINESS GCASH ACCOUNT, OR BUSINESSMAYA ACCOUNT.
