Richelle Reyes Baria Designs RRB Designs showcases Architect Richelle's body of work. Design for people, environment & quality li "Architecture is a passion.

Richelle Reyes Baria Designs is a gallery of completed and proposed projects of Arch. Richelle Rhea Reyes Baria, an assistant professor in University of the Philippines, Diliman. From residential architecture, interior architecture, commercial and recreational design, site planning and urban designs, her works explicitly express her creative, bold, vibrant and fresh take on how spaces can function

well and more so delight. "Architecture has the value of engaging and transforming people's lives. A child discovering her immediate surroundings in her colorful crib, her stimulating nursery and playroom. A student learning his skills in a well-lit and ventilated classroom, laboratory, and library. An intern preparing her presentation in an organized office cubicle, a free wifi coffee shop, or in a comfortable bench at a park. A family starting their life together in a new multi-faceted affordable house. A group of friends frolicking in the pedestrian friendly city streets, taking adventures in the next hip resort development. Business meetings ensuing, contracts and agreements getting signed in formal conference rooms, chic hotel lobbies, in lounge bars and restaurants. Communities growing in progressive towns and cities, building the harmonious and meaningful lives that they all envision. Architecture is everywhere, as there is space that surrounds us and molds us." "This fascination on how our built environment affect people, and how people grasp, use, manipulate, modify and enjoy these spaces, is what draws me to want to learn more, understand and grow in my practice and profession as a Filipino Architect. Collaborating with clients and different key players and stakeholders, with my business and design partner, associates and staff, grounds me and motivates me to create a good balance between the priorities of a design project. Creating liveable and humanistic spaces for the enjoyment of all, and giving back to the community with enabling design processes and systems, I believe, are the core values and goals of a fulfilling practice." "The consideration of user needs and requirements is not complete without researching on and integrating innovative ways on building technology, environment-centered and green design, context and culture. Architecture that safeguards its prime staging ground- the site, the land, our country, our world, and all the components that it affects, and consequently our actions herein, should not just be the dream of a few, but the way of life of everybody." It's one of the noblest profession for it brings together insights and resources to useful creation. It's benefits are tangible and non-tangible, and it transcends time."

Calm and collected, the Theodore displays a sprawling plan design that was inspired from the given site offering enough space to incorporate as much green and recreational spaces to its surroundings. The exterior boasts a balanced design. With cream colors and earthen textures applied on strategic areas, the elements compliment each other. The prominence of glass elements lightens the architectural character of the massive two - storey with basement structure.

Simple but nice – this is the preference of the client for the Tony house. True enough, the design meets these requirements with its streamline modern design of sleek, clean lines. The open plan design and layering of spaces aims to blur the lines between indoor and outdoor, creating a natural and stimulating experience. Plus the angled layout provides elements of surprise at every turn.

With the interesting contrast between the flat, light finishes and the dark, textured, natural elements varying from wood to stone, this tropical modern house, Tanya establishes its character as one that plays well with scale and detail. Despite its height of three stories, the house still has a light feel – mainly because of its white and light shades, with bursts of medium to dark brown, strategically placed at different focal points.

Appealing. Clean. Sophisticated. Classic. Composed. These are some of the words that describe this contemporary family residence. Situated in the highly urbanized areas of Pasig, the client wants her house to stand out. The solution - a two storey vertical window panels that permit ample light and natural ventilation. The narrow and long lot configuration was maximized with all the major living spaces, 4 bedrooms, and an additional alfresco dining, family room, office-den and a flexible multi-purpose room.

Tropical Contemporary Modern. The Westgrove experience was a design challenge that the team boldly accepted. The clients had very high standards and distinct preferences. Their meticulous approach to design was the inspiration for this house, which had us conceptualize and develop several schemes in such a short span of time. The 415 sqm lot was maximized by creating a double volume grand living room, four bedrooms, a den-office and alfresco dining. The architectural character is light, yet rich. Grand yet approachable and welcoming. The facades are a play of textures, materials, finishes and details.

A quirky eclectic Mediterranean style is what this charming house is. As the theme for the subdivision, the clients and architect chose to be observant and to be faithful to the general architectural character of the place. The exterior offer many interesting design details, the interiors prove to satisfy the visuals, with high ceilings decorated by wrought iron medieval-inspired chandeliers. A covered alfresco dining opens to a nice garden at the back.

Cool, calm and breezy Tagaytay. The site is spectacular as it is soothing. This provided the backdrop and inspiration for the Robyn House. The volumentric and spatial manipulations were based from site analysis and the contours of the lot, allowing multiple levels of functional and recreational spaces. The use of araal stone cladding on strategic spots seemingly mimicking the immediate landscape make one think where the earth ends and where the architecture begins. It’s a harmonious combination of materials and styles that give that beautiful appeal for this rest house. Plus, there is a pond at the entrance porch. These little touches of design detail give this house plenty of character.

Straightforward, imposing, sharp, grand. The double volume grey slate accent wall that frames the large windows gives focus and anchor to this building. Layers of wood finishes in the ceiling eaves, walls, and beams, which at first inception may counter and oppose the grey wall, but critically create enough energy and warmth to sustain the bold design. The left façade with English balconies remain streamlined.
