SOME IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM JECS PHONE RENTALS:
It was recently discovered that some of our rental devices and from other gadget rental shops were rented for personal use, but later it is being discovered that these renters book these units under different names, do repeat inquiries across various rental providers, or requests different devices for similar purposes.
In addition, we discovered that some of our units rented for personal use eventually remove the eSIMs and the iCloud / Google accounts that is linked to our device without our consent.
Starting today, we will NO LONGER ALLOW and NOT ENTERTAIN rentals for personal use that involve these purposes:
- Account creation / Gmail farming / OTP use/verification
- Referral or multi-account activities
- Use of accounts for possible fraudulent activities / scams
- Any setup requiring multiple devices or similar activities
We will not accept rentals that may involve frequent device changes, repeated rentals following the same pattern, or multiple individuals coordinating for similar usage, as these may put our units at risk.
Since we can't check and monitor device usage during the rental period and we only track them using Find My / Find Hub, engaging in these activities may lead to other issues like device restrictions, account flags, or system blocks โ which we want to prevent to protect both our units and future renters.
To maintain the safety and reliability of our service, all bookings are strictly screened, and at our discretion, we may request additional details, documents or verification prior to confirmation.
- For concerts, proof of concert ticket only, and if you are from province/s, we will request proof of booking of hotel/staycation accommodation near the concert venue.
- For travel, we will request proof of hotel / resort / airbnb accommodation that covers the rental period.
Please also bear with us why we also take more than a week to confirm your rentals even if you paid the security deposit.
Starting today, all phone rentals will be exclusive only for concerts, travel, and events with valid proof of event. Such restrictions will also reflect in our Google Form and entertaining inquiries.
In addition, same-day and next-day bookings will be limited to concerts only and on-the-spot rentals within the concert venue.
Also, we will be coordinating with other phone rental businesses for the verification.
Our devices are intended for personal use only, such as concert fancams, travel photos, and events.
