Most beautiful Bay in the World
Puerto Galera will host the 2015 Most Beautiful Bay Congress to be participated in by beautiful bay awardees from other countries.

Puerto Galera was awarded club membership and votes as the Most Beautiful Bay in 2005. There are 39 Bays and we are the only bay in the Philippines

Its membership to this prestigious club was credited to the areas remarkable and strict environmental protection measures in spite of the year-round heavy inflow of foreign and domestic tourists.

Puerto Galera was also the recipient of Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) “seal of good housekeeping” for two consecutive years.

This resort area is famous for its dive site,enchanting coves, turquoise waters and white sand shorelines. . Once a year Mt. Malasimbo hosts the Malasimbo Music and Arts Festival

The diversity of its people’s culture, the Iraya Mangyan Tribe and the warm hospitality of locals adds color to its attractions

An Environmental User’s Fee (EUF) collected at the Batangas City Port from each arriving tourist goes to environmental protection fund

A Turtle on the Doorstep :)

Our resort manager Terry O’Dowd just bought a GoPro video camera for the resort and decided to take it out for a spin while he was snorkeling just a few metres into the sea in Big La Laguna Bay, just outside Scandi Divers Resort. Great timing on Terry’s part as he bumped into this gorgeous Hawksbill Turtle.

This nifty little camera is available for guests to rent, and has a headstrap and mount for great POV footage to make your friends jealous when you show them your diving experiences in Puerto Galera

Huge thanks to the guys from Greenfins and the staff and guests from Scandi Divers Resort for taking part in our recent underwater cleanup.

Performing these underwater cleanups to maintain our lovely waters and healthy reefs is unfortunately a necessary chore. This is usually because of trash being washed down from some of the higher-up inhabited coastal regions during heavy rains, and also from irresponsible boat traffic dumping their trash while sailing through our waters.

Mats Skogden from Sweden and his wife Asa, along with their children Victor, Stina, Matilda and Sara spent some time diving in Puerto Galera with us at Scandi Divers Resort, proving that scuba diving can be the perfect family activity, and great fun for everyone. Mats is an experienced diver and celebrated his birthday with a dive to the Alma Jane wreck and while they were here, Asa successfully completed her Open Water course and the kids did Junior Open Water, Junior Scuba Diver and Bubblemaker courses!
