For a garden dining experience with a view of the Taal Lake, visit Cafe' Lawa. This is a great alternative to the more popular and crowded Bag of Beans. They serve silog favorites, beef pares and Filipino desserts with refreshing twists like Ube turon with ube sauce dip.

This is just across Homey Tagaytay Airbnb, squeezed in between Cabezera and Gerry's Grill.

I am writing this post because I've heard a lot of travelers to Wind Residences do not want to book via Airbnb. Reasons to use Airbnb:

1. Airbnb is a convenient way of booking for travelers and managing listings for property managers. It assures travelers of a place to stay when they get to Tagaytay, which is almost always full. It gives property managers enough time to prepare the property. Most of my guests love how clean my place is and the reason I am able to achieve this is I get bookings ahead of check-in time and thus, I can ensure that my property is clean. I've stayed in places that allowed walk-in guests and the property was not that clean e.g. unpleasant odor from the bathroom, sheets do not feel fresh, etc.

2. Airbnb payments are secured for both the traveler and the property manager. The payment does not get to the property manager/owner until close to the check-out time of the traveler. If the property turns out to be not real (there are scammers everywhere, unfortunately), the traveler can get his payment refunded.

3. The reviews are from confirmed guests only, which minimizes the chances of getting bogus reviews.

4. Prices can still be negotiated. Many think that getting discounts is not possible via Airbnb. Property managers/owners can provide discounts/rebates if they are inclined to do so. Personally, I tend to give discounts to repeat guests. Also, if my guests told me beforehand that they would not use my parking slot, I'll give a small rebate because I can rent out my parking slot separately anyway.
