Sunrise views this time of year sometimes come with a side of rain and you can barely see a rainstorm out in the distance off the edge of Vieques right below the Sun, but here Finquita Vista Alegre this morning is all about warm breezes, bird sounds, and the chickens circling below the terrace waiting for me to feed them.

Se fue la luz en Ceiba, at least up here in the mountains! Don't be full but a little glimmers of lights we have solar power all over the place but we are in power saving mode so everything on the house is turned off and we won't have any AC tonight. Lucky for us today was cooler and there's a breeze.

Public service announcement if you think you're an excellent swimmer don't go popping in the ocean and assuming you are King Kong. We see probably hundreds but definitely tens of twenties of people every yearpulled out of Puerto Rican oceans unalive after ignoring red flags or not checking the safety of remote beaches.

Beware! We're very sorry if you planned your vacation during mother nature's cold front and tropical storm weather, but it is really no reason to risk your life swimming in this Marine weather. 2 days ago we witnessed the Coast guard helicopter circling seven seas Beach for hours to find somebody who had most likely drowned. We and other locals remind tourists about red flags or signs about riptides on the regular and they still believe that it'll be fine and get in any way. Today and this week in particular the red flag that you see is on seven seas Beach, normally calm for swimming and with lifeguards. But it is currently red flag weather and dangerous for anyone to go swimming. Please don't come to Puerto Rico and flirt with losing your life. Yesterday I witnessed a family with small children heading for this exact Beach with all their gear......... Please go anywhere else, children's museum, Mall of america, Distrito TMobile, or your hotel pool if you must.
