This was our first casita. The one Brian and I stayed in before we owned the place. We cooked breakfast, made coffee, watched the morning light up the gardens. We've loved it ever since.

Our namesake, through Mel's eyes (). Bare-branched — even in Puerto Rico, the Ceiba takes winter off.

The Maya believed the Ceiba connected the earth to the world of the spirits. Ours mostly connects the lawn to the casitas. We try not to push the metaphor.
