The yellow house among the palms is Casa Ceiba. We prefer to call it home. It isn't rentable — it's where we live — but the gardens, the birds, and most of the light belong to everyone who stays.

See that red dot out on the far west coast? That's us.

If you've been wondering about the water lately, here's the good news from Rincón: we're green and thriving — rain most afternoons, cisterns full, and tap water that's clean, cold, and delicious. We drink it every day, straight from the tap. Always plenty.

Let's talk water.

A few of you have asked, and it's a fair question. You may have seen the news about water rationing on the east side of the island. Out here in the west, it's a different story: the taps are running normally, the municipalities have plenty, and there's no rationing in Rincón.

At Ceiba, we like to be sure of it. We keep an 8,000-gallon cistern — enough to run the whole property for two to three weeks if we ever needed to.

And the water itself is lovely. We drink it every day — by the glassful, straight from the tap. Crystal clear, cold, and delicious.

After a dry start to summer, the afternoon rains are back, right on tropical schedule. These leaves can vouch for it.

So fill your glass, take the long shower, rinse off the salt. There's plenty. 💧

Skip the San Juan drive. Fly into Aguadilla (BQN) — United, JetBlue, and Frontier all land there, and the rental counters stay open till 3am.

At night, you can see the airport's lights from Ceiba Tree Inn, glowing across the bay. By day it tucks back into the green and disappears. Either way it's close — 30 to 45 minutes by road, quicker once the roads empty out — and a fraction of the haul from San Juan.

Peter, of Stella & Peter Massage here in Rincón, comes to Ceiba Tree Inn — so you don't have to go anywhere. Take your massage on the pergola, breeze moving through and the view wide open, or in the quiet of your own casita. Your call.
