I am a Palestinian Christian, and I have lived all my life in Bethlehem where Jesus was born. My family including my husband, mother, and children live in one of the apartments in a house on what was once a major road. In all, there are five adults and nine children living in our building. For many years I operated a thriving gift shop on the ground floor. In 2002 construction began on the Separat
ion Wall which now closes the road to traffic and to tourists who might want to buy souvenirs from the Holy Land at my shop. My business died, and so did income for our family. It is my fervent prayer that technology will help us survive financially. We now have an online store where you can purchase Palestinian gifts and help support local Palestinian craftspeople.
