I am VIVIANE and 24 years old and I am half French and half Portuguese. I was born in the western part of Germany, called Heinsberg. There I lived almost my whole life with my parents, my older brother, my little sis and my lovely dog. Thanks to my parents and family I was able to g

row up with several languages (which they did not teach me but which were still around me), a lot of vacatiogns to my home countries and a lot of music in my little ears. Was no wonder I started as a baby recording my songs on the cute record players we had, that I started with the age of 6 years old to dance and grabbing the old and first guitar of my dad when I was 14 (which he also bought in the age of 14, what I just mentioned! What a great souvenir!) I had that one DREAM – to be a great singer and sing in front of millions of people! I was going to school like every normal student, was not the best, not the worst. I enjoyed my free time most of the time outside in the nature with my friends. Earlier I always had that one DREAM – going to the US after I graduate the 10th grade! I guess I felt too responsible to keep going to school and finish high school. So that’s what I did, other three years squeezing some useful and a lot of unuseful things in my brain. I went through several internships during my school time, but it was never something what I ever could imagine the rest of my life. When the first year of high school was almost over suddenly on one day I had the thought of starting to earn some money.ikk I went to the restaurant and hotel where I had my baptism which was really close to my house – awesome circumstances! I started there with some difficulties (the people who know gastronomy know what I am talking about!!) but I stayed strong and disciplined. I learned a lot during this years and saved a bunch of money, my dream started to fade, so I was just not sure what to do with the money besides saving it – of course after my endless online shopping list in H&M every month, haha! Believe me, I had a great time! Hey!, and i started to really like the job, making my customers more than happy, the contact to hotel guests all over the world, the different languages, the service, the tip of course etc… maybe I liked it way to much! My attention to school became less or turns out into sleeping in class and getting caught by my teacher, but I was more than sure it was enough to pass. Tadaaa, and I graduated! Next step was searching for an excellent hotel where I can improve my skills and become a great hotel expert. A 5 star hotel in Aachen, one hour away from home, gave me the possibility! I moved there for other three years, went through hell and came out in heaven, one big thank you for my amazing companion! I ended up with being one of the best in class, even maths went into my brain!! – such a surprise what interest can change! FINALLY, I made a big decision and start to live one DREAM inside of me. Nothing could stop me and my story begins to grow. My travel started with my best friend on the other side of the world, in OCEANIA.

In the last past days, I realized how important it is to go with your own pace and take time to reflect. Sometimes it does not feel like we are moving forward and we need to take the time to come back and just accept the moment we have to look back on what we achieved and which direction we want to go.

It is okay not to know exactly where we will be in the future. I realized during conversations I sometimes talk like every decision is final because time is passing too fast.

We need to be more conscious, present and enjoy what we have in the NOW! 🗝

Did you ever get sand into your mouth? 😄 It still happens to me - just a very weird feeling! 🤭⠀⠀⠀
When I got home I had to wash all the clothes, bags, shoes and my baggage. 🎒 And even then I'll always find some sand left in the smallest corner. 🧐 It's nearly impossible! 😃⠀⠀⠀
At least it's a reminder! 😊 A reminder of great memories, good vibes and lots of sunshine! ☀️⠀⠀⠀

Engraved moments 💫⠀⠀⠀
Sometimes I wonder why some moments engrave more than others? 🤷‍♀️ Is it based on certain emotions we feel or on how visual we are? 🙃⠀⠀⠀
I just had this conversation with a friend. We used to do the greatest things together, busking on the streets, driving to Italy and much more.. but there is one moment where I always look back on. 😊 A simple day in Venlo, the Netherlands close to my home. 🏠 We had coffee and a piece of cake and just talked & laughed. It was just precious. Remembering this makes me feel so grateful and happy. 💕⠀⠀⠀
It's not extravagant or fancy things that fulfill you, it's the simple things! 😍⠀⠀⠀

I feel like the twenties are full of questions. 💭 Trying to find ourselves, planning where we heading in the future, finding our passion, love and maybe the partner for life, getting married and thinking about building a family. 💑

It's so overwhelming that sometimes I feel like blocked.🚫 Maybe we don't need all those answers, maybe we should not feel pressured and just be more present. 💡

Earlier I would have never thought that I end up in Canada and leave my family & friends. 🤔 I guess nothing comes as planned! 💁‍♀️

Let the sea set you free.. 🌊
Sometimes a walk on the beach is all you need to come back to your true self. 🏖 When I feel lost or overwhelmed I try to be as close to nature as I can to have a clear thought and organize my mind again. 💭
Nature is only one thing you could do but even music can do this! 🎶 Dance and sing yourself free! 💃 Since I can remember I always used to sing, record myself, dance and play guitar. 🌈 It's great emotionally and maybe even more important mentally. 💡
❤ I am really fortunate growing up in a very creative and open-minded family! 👨‍👧👩‍👧‍👦🐕
